DIRECTIONS TO MUHLENBERG

Muhlenberg is a small, private, four-year liberal arts college located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The city is served by Lehigh Valley International Airport. 

Muhlenberg offers a variety of special amenities:

  • The air-conditioned dorms are located adjacent to the Student Union and classroom building where workshops will be held.
  • The award-winning dining hall provides a variety of options, and a café and snack bar offer between-meal options.
  • The Red Door is a private lounge in the basement of the Student Union that will be the site of our after-hour gatherings.

NOTE ABOUT SCHEDULE: Each full conference day comprises 4 sessions, each containing several workshop options. Unless otherwise specified, the workshops occur on all 6 workshop days (Sat.-Thurs.), and each day is self-contained, so you may sample workshops from day to day, with no need to sign up in advance. A few of the workshops are 3-day (Sat.-Mon.), and one of these repeats Tues.-Thurs. (these and other exceptions are highlighted in red at the above "Workshop Schedule (preliminary)" link).

Registration Packages

Each package has different pricing for members and nonmembers. Want to join? Need to renew your membership? Please do so here BEFORE registering for this event to enjoy member pricing.

Entire Event: Includes seven nights, six days, twenty meals, all workshops, critiques, salons, open readings, and book fairs. Check in Friday, July 7 (beginning at 2:00 pm) and check out Friday, July 14 by 10:00 am.

Long Weekend Package (Friday-Monday): Includes three nights (including Opening Night), four days, nine meals (Friday dinner through Monday lunch). Check in Friday, July 7 (beginning at 2:00 pm) and check out Friday, July 14 (out of room by 10:00 am). Registrants can attend all workshops and other conference activities on Monday (check-out day).

Commuter Daily Rate: Includes all workshops and activities for that day, as well as Opening Night admission, Friday, July 7. Meals not included, but breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be purchased onsite. To register for multiple days, contact us.

Housing: Room Options

1) Single in a suite of four singles with shared bath, kitchenette, and sitting area. 

OR

2) Double with private bath and shared common areas (kitchenette and lounge). 

OR

3) Private room with private bath and shared common areas (kitchenette and lounge).

All rooms are air-conditioned. First-come/first-served in choosing room options; singles in a suite of four are limited in number; a limited number of singles with private bath are available for the week, for an additional $350 fee. During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to propose a roommate (double) or roommates (suite). Requests for suite mates cannot be guaranteed but will be honored to the best of our ability.

Cancellation Policy

Until May 7 - Full refund minus $75 admin fee
May 8 - June 7 - 50% refund
After June 7 - No refund
