ReVisioning Our Virtual Home in the World

To strengthen The Guild as a global community of women writers of all ages, our Board and Advisory Circle unanimously agreed that a website redesign is our first priority. We've been researching websites of other cultural organizations and individual artists and, more recently, consulting with vendors to rebuild our online home‒with a look and "feel" that expressees The Guild's singular spirit, and with member-friendly navigability to carry out our programming objectives.

In the meantime, please check out our upgraded current virtual home ( If you're aiming to make an end-of-the-year donation, why not earmark it for website redesign!

Follow the Flow! : Our New Monthly Writing Exercise

“A voice is a gift; it should be cherished and used, to utter fully human speech if possible.
Powerlessness and silence go together...”

~Margaret Atwood, Second Words: Selected Critical Prose

Every Your Latest Page will now feature a line from a published text, the following of which―heart to mind to pen―will bear witness to the world and, in so doing, re-create it.

From Judith Kitchen's The Circus Train (p. 47):

Quick, now, here, here is what is:

(Remember to credit Judith Kitchen in your final draft.)

"It has long been said that a poet must have vision.
The good poet’s vision is of the here and now.
The world, properly seen, becomes the future.”
