Is your book manuscript or idea languishing forever on your computer? Do you need expert guidance for how to pitch it to an agent, editor or audience? This hands-on webinar will guide you to discover and communicate the essence of your book in as few well-chosen words as possible.
Whether you choose to self-publish or traditionally publish, whether you're writing fiction, nonfiction or memoir, these words (your hook) will help create longer synopses and proposals. These are necessary tools for selling your book and yourself as author to agent, editor or reader.
The interactive workshop meets for four 90-minute sessions via live videoconferencing. Over the four weeks, you will learn how to structure a hook that leads to the finely tuned pitch and query. Then, you’ll learn about the longer marketing tools, synopses and proposals. Between sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to write and submit a hook, a script for a pitch, or a query for review and in-session critique. Handouts and resources are included.
Want to pitch to or query agents and editors? This webinar will give you the tools—and the courage. Paula Chaffee Scardamalia is an author, book coach, a dream and tarot intuitive. She has published both fiction and nonfiction. Since 1999, Paula's presented workshops and retreats across the country; at both national and regional Romance Writers of America conferences and meetings; at the 2014 San Diego University Writers Conference; and at the International Women's Writing Guild. She publishes a weekly e-newsletter on writing, creativity, dreams, and tarot, and is the award-winning author of Weaving a Woman’s Life: Spiritual Lessons from the Loom.
