Friday Free Write with Lisa Freedman Hot Fun in the Summertime: A Sultry Body-Centric Meditation and Free Write
Lisa Freedman teaches creative writers as a professor and as a coach. She weaves meditation into her work to nurture clarity and confidence. She received her MFA from the New School, where she now teaches courses including “Starts in Silence: A Meditation and Writing Workshop” (in collaboration with the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art) and “Writing and Activism.” She joined the IWWG in 1988 and created and taught “Writing and the Warriorship of Compassion” for their 2016 summer conference. She also teaches for the Poetry Barn in upstate New York. Her writings have appeared in Satya Magazine and the anthology Resist Much Obey Little: Inaugural Poems to the Resistance, among others.
