Bio
I am an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, semi-retired. A mother of two sons and grandmother of two grandsons and step-grandma to a 16 year old young man and an adorable 6 year old grand-daughter. I'm a Connecticut native but in my active years as clergy I lived in Massachusetts, Maine and on Cape Cod. I've been writing all my life, an ardent journal writer and, due to my vocation, weekly sermons. Though my sermons have a great deal of personal history in them, I consider myself a novice in fictional and memoir writing. In addition to a short theological reflection published while serving as pastor of the United Methodist Church in Kittery, Maine in the early 1990's and my doctoral thesis in 2004, I have several short published essays in an online publication, Front Porch Review, The Christian Century, and a devotion picked up by The Upper Room. My short story, "Remember When" was published in 2019 in a new launch magazine, "Portrait of New England." In addition to my membership in IWWG, I'm a charter member Life Writers with coach, Patricia Charpentier.
