TaNisha Fordham will be interviewed by Marylou Kelly Streznewski about Go Black Boy Flya poetic narrative featuring TaNisha's rhymes and art.

TaNisha Fordham is an educator, producer, director, writer, and performer originally from Buffalo, NY. As founder and artistic director of Enlightened Visions, Inc., she has produced and directed over 35 original productions all geared towards spreading the light and love of Jesus Christ through timely, relevant, and riveting storytelling. Most recently, she co-produced the 2018 Oscar-nominated short My Nephew Emmett, and this past summer, she produced, wrote, and directed her first feature-length film, Go Black Boy Fly, adapted from her poetic novel by the same name and slated to premiere in early 2020. Queen, her documentary focusing on the scope of black women and men in pageantry against the backdrop of Trump’s America, is slated to premiere in the fall of 2019.

Marylou Kelly Streznewski is a writer of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction whose career has included theater, journalism, and education. She has taught writing to high school and college students, and to adult and senior groups, including The Guild. She is the former poetry editor of the Bucks County Writer and served as poetry curator of the Writers Room of Bucks County. She has published three poetry collections, Woman Words, Rag Time, and Dying with Robert Mitchum (Aldrich Press, 2015); a nonfiction book, Gifted Grownups: The Mixed Blessing of Extraordinary Potential (John Wiley & Sons, 1999); and a memoir, Heart Rending–Heart Mending: Saved by Medical Science, Healed by Ancient Wisdom (J.G. Whitthorne Press, 2016), based on her experience of, and recovery from, massive open-heart surgery. Her first novel is making the rounds of agents.
