The vogue is to freewrite

Is it the content or rather the look of a message that speaks? During this freewrite we will take a linguistic look at face and a fashionable look at clothing, to be prompted to our own artistic exploration of appearances. Count on research by Brown, Levinson and Lakoff (a.o.), and on Anne Sexton's red reading dress.Virginia Woolf would sign off invitations with "Bring no clothes”, yet my invite says: yes, bring your dress, so we can stitch down words and feelings on your own favourite garment!

Kate Copeland started absorbing stories ever since a little lass. Her love for words led her to linguistics & teaching; her love for art & water to poetry. She is curator-editor @The Ekphrastic Review, housesits @the world and has done workshops @IWWG before. Find her poetry@Insta, TER, First Lit.Review-East, WildfireWords & Erbacce.
