The Heart of IWWG
Women have returned to Guild events for 38 years to a joyful camaraderie, which has built a sisterhood unlike any other we know. You are welcome no matter what your level of experience.
Here you can learn the craft of writing and be supported in special ways as you learn. You will have the freedom to express your own writing dreams in an atmosphere of acceptance. The energy created here is contagious. Your own voice will gain the power to join the chorus. Women get brave here.
The isolation felt when writing alone will vanish as you find the sisters who have been missing in your life. With women who share your passion, you can create lifelong bonds of friendship, all across the world.
You will be encouraged to explore maximum use of electronic media without sacrificing human connection, and learn to decide which options are best for you.
About Our Conferences
Regional and national conferences feature:
Workshop directors are accomplished in their fields. All have one purpose: to support women writers as they learn and grow, no matter where they are in their development. From beginners to well-published, all are welcome.
This IWWG community of women who come together to write is truly one-of-a-kind. Support and encouragement abound, and I love to see women opening doors for each other. Daily, we witness our growth as women, as writers, and as an organization. I'm honored to be a part of this realm of possibilities.
~2016 Summer Conference participant
Over The Guild’s 40-year history, the kind of unique support offered to women by The Guild has birthed many writers and resulted in the publication of more than 4,000 books.
Expanding programs of regional conferences and start-up writing groups offer our members the support and feedback necessary to hone their writing and to connect with each other between conferences.
Our quarterly newsletter, Network, offers helpful articles covering many craft-related topics and business and marketing guidance, as well as publication announcements for our members’ books, including full-color images of the front covers.
During our Meet the Agents event, attendees have the opportunity to listen to valuable advice, industry trends, and insights from our literary panel, as well as chat one-on-one by appointment with interested agents.
