Traversing — a linguistic-imaginative-freewrite workshop with Kate Copeland
In this 90 minute workshop, we will work with the imaginative experiences of travelling & touring (for our March-people: Home & Hotel 2.0!). We will touch upon linguistic diversity and theories re the mind, imagination & experience…while looking at letters, rooms and stations. The authors and artists who will prompt us, are: Sally Wen Mao, Eileen Myles, Anne Carson, Barbara Hepworth [a.o.!]. You will receive a document with all sorts of information for more musing, in your own time. Hop on, let’s traverse!
Kate Copeland’s love for languages led her to teaching; her love for art & water to poetry. She is curator-editor for The Ekphrastic Review & runs linguistic-poetry workshops for TER and IWWG. Find her poems @ https://www.instagram.com/kate.copeland.poems/ plus @ TER, WildfireWords, Gleam, Hedgehog Press [a.o.]. Kate was born in harbour-city, and adores housesitting in the world.
